Piano Set №. VI “Album for the Blind” (2023)

This set was composed for a collaboration concert between pianists Michael Shepherd and Choo Choo Hu and the Peabody Composition Department. The set contains seven movements (some with their own micro-movements). The movements were composed between the Summer of 2022 and November 2023 and includes the first composition I wrote after emerging from brain surgery, The Transformations. The piece was premiered on April 3, 2024 by Choo Choo Hu at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. The recordings below were made by Aaron Zimmer and Joseph Ceponis (audio) and features Antonio Sanz Escallón (piano).
